We require that students have up-to-date AV software on their computers.
It's not something that's easy to enforce but students are held
accountable if they end up wreaking havoc due to an infestation. The
consequences students face is to have their port disabled till they
contact us and clean their computer.

We have a license for McAfee that allows us to give it to students if
they don't have any anti-virus software installed. We haven't looked at
pushing updates across except for McAfee's Vires for the Mac OS. It has
an administration package that allows for the pushing of upgrades and
definitions. It's a bit old and I haven't seen any news from McAfee
about it being updated.
