Tony,
I too am new to the list.
We're thinking about offering similar services on a charge-back basis to
residence halls residents in addition to the services which are already
funded. I have a few questions which I've inserted in Tony's message below.
Anyone who has information about similar services, I'll appreciate your
input.
Many thanks,
-Rich White

>Our computer

Is your computer center an independent department such as a bookstore or is
it a branch of your computing or residential services.

How many technicians do you have, how much are they paid, are they part time
hourly students or professionals? Do you provide training or are they
trained before hired?

I don't understand. You charge for these services but you don't collect the
fees? Is the computer center operated under full cost recovery, for profit
or is it subsidized?
>we have found most students, and especially

Is it all at one location?

Do you have a business plan and is it kept current? If so, would you be
willing to share it with me?
Do you have a website describing your services? If so, would you send me the
url?
Thanks again Tony,
-Rich
