Electronic mail is currently the only centrally (Information Systems)
offered dialup network service. There are other departments and labs
that have both AppleTalk and Internet dialup services - perhaps other
readers of this list can help you there.
Information Systems is working on a dialup version of TechMail for
486-based PCs. You can get more information by sending mail to
net-help@mit.edu or resnet-help@mit.edu. We are also investigating
providing general purpose AppleTalk and Internet dialup network
service. However, this service will not be available until after we
complete our current dormitory and ILG networking projects.
