I believe that eggdrop is an IRC Bot. One of its many purposes is to keep
an IRC channel open even though there are no users in the channel. It could
easily be used as a denial of service platform, but how effective it is, is
unclear to me. The pages I was reading are in Italian - so I am not sure I
