Edward,

I'm not sure how to uninstall it, but I can tell you how to prevent it
from ever running:

o As an admin, Go to Start -> Run: 'gpedit.msc'
o In the Group Profile Editor, expand Computer Configuration, then
Administrative Templates, and finally Windows Components.
o You will see a folder for 'Windows Messenger.' Select it.
o There are two choices to edit: 'Do not allow Windows Messenger to be
run' and 'Do not automatically start Windows Messenger inititially.'
o Configure as you see fit. I chose to enable the second (thus
disallowing it to be run at login), but not the first. If you don't want it
to ever run, enable both.
