Under the general direction of the Project Manager for Administrative
Applications, the Webmaster will manage, maintain, and develop the Trinity
College web site. Working as a member of a highly focused professional team,
the successful candidate will have the opportunity to use the latest
technologies in a largely Microsoft environment. General responsibilities
will include the following:
Manage and maintain content on the College's main web site. Evaluate and
suggest client and server technologies and applications for presentation and
editing of web pages;
Assist other departments at the College in keeping departmental web pages
current and functional. Provide technical, design and other assistance on
the creation of web services for academic departments and administrative
offices;
Work with others to optimize the College's web services for speed,
uniformity, usability, and compatibility;
Assist the technical staff on software analysis, design and programming for
a variety of web and internet related applications;
Generate and update reports and analysis scripts.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTML and some
experience with web site design, implementation and development. Experience
working with web editing programs such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver as well
as experience with page layout and design, and an understanding of aesthetic
design principles are highly desirable. Experience managing a web server is
a plus, as are skills in advanced HTML, stylesheet coding, CGI scripting,
JavaScript, Perl, ASP, XML, XSL/T and experience with SQL database to web
integration. Must have strong writing and problem solving skills and the
ability to function effectively within a highly motivated team. One year of
experience in professional web administration/development is required.
