Hi,
Here at Union College we have about 3,000 users and are switching to a
20Mbps line in about 2 weeks. We had 4 T-1 and it was not nearly enough.
Best of luck,
Bob

Subject: Bandwidth to connected user ratio
At the University of Indianapolis our Internet connection has been saturated
for
the past year and a half (hasn't everyone's?). It doesn't seem like any
amount
of packet shaping or port blocking has been much help. I've been seriously
thinking about getting my own DSL line in my office :-). Currently we have
about 2,000 connected users (about 1,200 of that is ResNet) and they share 2
T1
lines. I'm curious to find out how much bandwidth per user other
universities
have. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Matt Wilson
