I've been using Kiwi's Cat Tools -
http://www.kiwi-enterprises.com/info_cattools.htm , there is a freeware
version. It's easy to use and gets me all the information I need to find
the bandwidth hogs without forcing all students to register their mac
addresses.

Subject: Trace MAC or IP addresses to Physical Ports
I am currently looking for a utility that would allow our organization
to trace a devices IP or MAC address back to the hub or switch port it
is connected to. If anyone has had experience doing this sort of thing
or has information about which products would be capable of performing
this task I'd greatly appreciate a nudge in the right directly. I've not
had any luck as of yet finding something on my own. :)
