As far as I udnerstood it, the port and interrupt are specified in a line in 
the CONFIG.SYS, and not via a setup program.  Another thing is that you 
should try doing a power cycle (ie: shut down the machine for at least 10 
seconds, not just merely hitting the reset button).

After this, I can't think of anything else.
