Hi.
I think the router of McGregor is too slow or is having some problem these days. I haven't seen any delays and lags in East Campus(my friend's), but here at MacGregor, the laggs are significant even in the same domain.
I was logged onto the al-forno, one of the express server, and there were only 6 people logged in. The ping says I am having 30% packet loss. The laggs get much greater if I telnet to the other domain server.
The following is the result of the ping.
----renoir-hoon.MIT.EDU PING Statistics----
20 packets transmitted, 14 packets received, 30% packet loss
round-trip (ms) min/avg/max = 0/21/167
I think telneting is much faster on the athena machines, and I think the 10Mbps line is totally inefficient.
Any help?
