We have been getting them as well, but I too was asking what is happening, because our volume is a lot lower than normal. I have had very few so far this semester, compared to past years. Until I saw these responses, I was wondering if FINALLY, all our efforts paid off and kids are finally learning their lesson. I haven't had any to speak of in the last few weeks.
I can honestly say that a couple of years ago, our Legal Counsel retired and he was the one getting all the notices. After I realized we hadn't gotten any notices for 2+ months, I inquired about it only to find out that he had not properly forwarded the responsibility. I then did some leg work to find that he was registered with the US Copyright Office as the Campus DMCA Agent, so I started the process to get that switched over…into my name (ask me what I was thinking later). I then went out and pro-actively emailed all the companies/contacts from past notices we received and voila, they started rolling in. Other than that incident, this is the first time since Oct. 2008 that I have had such a lull in notices.

Subject: Where did all the DMCA violations go, gone to % everyone...
This is certainly not a complaint, but I am curious (yes, curiosity killed the cat, I know that I am sticking my neck out), where did all the DMCA violations go?
We typically received 20 - 50 each semester and a few over the summer. I have not had one come in since this past Spring. Has anyone else had a drastic drop in their DMCA violation notices?
Hope the beginning of the semester has been smooth sailing for everyone. 269 days until we gather again at Purdue!
