Michael,

We moved from Cisco Clean Access, to Bradford Campus Manager. We then evalu=
ated Impulse Safe*Connect, but ended up purchasing Aruba ClearPass (formerl=
y Avenda eTIPS).

Although ClearPass is a NAC solution, we are using it primarily as our 802.=
1X RADIUS server that includes a way for users to register their own non-80=
2.1X capable devices. When we last looked at Safe*Connect earlier this ye=
ar, users need to call the HelpDesk to register devices by mac address. Sin=
ce we need to be able to map ip address to username for bandwidth managemen=
t, we could not choose Safe*Connect. Other than that, it is a very capable =
NAC, though.

Feel free to contact me off-list if you want more information.

Resnet,

We at the University of Montana currently employ a proprietary NAC solution=
. However, we are looking at other NAC products(specifically, SafeConnect a=
nd Cisco NAC). Does anyone use either of these solutions? If so, can you pl=
ease e-mail me so we can discuss the costs, benefits, short-comings, etc. T=
hanks in advance for you time.
