We use a brother P-touch:

(not this one specifically, but I don't see ours on the site)
Conversely, we don't label our cables any more.
We moved the switches inbetween the patch panels. It works for us right
now because we have a 1 to 1 switch port count. I don't know how this will
work with the next hardware refresh, since everyone is really only using
the wireless, I doubt we'd buy this many ports.
