Hi Folks,
As the Student Technology Conference comes closer, we would like to ask you
to start thinking about what you might be able to bring to help support
this year's Silent Auction and the Senti-Merriman Scholarship. All proceeds
from the Silent Auction go to the Senti-Merriman Scholarship, which
sponsors the attendance of up to two student staff members at the ResNet
Student Technology Conference each year. For more information on the
Senti-Merriman Scholarship program, please go to
http://www.resnetinc.org/student-technology-conference/senti-merriman-scholarship.
This will be our fourth year doing the Silent Auction, and we hope to
continue the fundraising trends from previous years! The auction this year
will take place on the afternoon of June 22nd, during the Vendor's Fair.
Please consider donating something this year. Past popular items include
(but are most certainly not limited to!) external hard drives, "wifey"-wifi
finders, homemade creative items, music, themed gift baskets, art, gift
cards and school-branded items. Are you in a band? Donate a CD! Are you (or
a friend) "crafty"? How about giving us a handmade piece of jewelry,
picture frame, or scarf. Maybe you're a good baker - we'll totally take
your homemade cookies and candies.
To give a donation, please email us at
resnet2012-auction@resnetsymposium.org. If you're not able to attend the
conference this year, don't let that stop you from supporting this
wonderful cause ... just mail the item to us and we will make sure it gets
a special spot on the auction table! Additionally, if you want to make
your trip to the conference a little lighter in the luggage department, you
are more than welcome to send your donated item ahead of time!
For those individuals wanting to bid on auction items ... we will be set up
to take credit cards, debit cards, personal checks and cold hard cash! For
items won, we can work with you to have the item(s) shipped to your home
address, so as to make your trip home easier.
Questions or need help coming up with ideas? Feel free to email us ... we
would be very happy to brainstorm with you!
See you in June!
Margaret Landsparger and Carla Rounds
Silent Auction Coordinators
