I am happy to do that. Here is the link for this year's call for nomination=

-directors/2012-call-for-nominations. This link includes descriptions of t=
he available positions.
In glancing over it, however, I didn't see a description of the time requir=
ed to volunteer. Basically, being a Director requires the following:
1. You must commit time for the monthly board meetings, typically 2-3=
hours per month during regular business hours;
2. You must be able to commit adequate time for tasks associated with=
the position and any subcommittee meetings, typically 2-3 hours per month
3. You must commit to attending a fall board meeting, travel, lodging=
and food at the expense of ResNet, Inc., typically 4-5 days.
4. You must be able to commit to attending the annual Student Technol=
ogy Conference at the expense of your institution (with early arrival for t=
he board meeting held there).
More current directors may want to jump in and point us in a different dire=
ction, but this is as I recall.

Greetings, ResNet.
This is a reminder to all of you that the deadline to submit nominations ma=
terial for ResNet's Board of Directors Election is February 29, 2012. Plea=
se feel free to contact the nominations committee at nominations@resnetinc.=
org<mailto:nominations@resnetinc.org> with your questions, or if you'd like=
a chat, call me at the number listed below. Step up and play a creative, a=
ctive role in how your organization is run. And if you can't run for the b=
oard of directors, please make sure that you vote when the time comes.
Some election background information: As many of you know, elections are a=
relatively new responsibility to and for our members. However, regardless=
of whether you are a new member or a long-standing member, you may not kno=
w that the timing of our elections has been carefully planned. It is reason=
ed that newly elected board members will need to orient themselves to their=
new roles by attending board meetings as non-voting members until the conf=
erence in June, when they will formally assume their role.
Hurry up!!! Get approval from your boss, update your resume and write thos=
e letters and nominate yourself.
We are currently soliciting nominations for the following five positions:
Director of Communications (2-year term, June 2012 - June 2014)
Director of New Initiatives (2 year term, June 2012 - June 2014)
Director of External Relations (2 year term, June 2012 - June 2014)
Treasurer (3 year term, June 2012 - June 2015)
Vice President (Presidential track, 3-year term, June 2012 - June 2015)

All candidates must supply the following information to the Nominations Com=

=A7 Letter of institutional support from your immediate supervisor
=A7 Resume
The process to submit your nomination for our spring election ballot is not=
difficult, but the rewards are many (not the least of which is it will loo=
k really good on a resume)! The deadline to submit your nomination is Febr=
uary 29, 2012.
