Hi all,

Our user base is very much used to using an email client (Thunderbird)
and a calendaring client (Meeting Maker) and if we move to either Google
Apps for Edu or Live@Edu we need to be prepared with a client (or
clients) that will interact well with either. We have a mix of
Windows/Macs on campus so we have to account for both. What are people
using out there and does your solution work well?

Here is what I know of... or at least I think I know of :-)

- Outlook: I heard you need an outlook connector at an additional cost
if pointing to Google Apps. Does the Mac Outlook version work well too?

- Thunderbird w/Lightning plugin: I'm a little afraid to support this
where plugins tend to break with the different Tbird versions that keep
coming out (now seemingly every week!). What functionality do you lose
on the calendar side?

- Windows Live Essentials Mail/Calendar (on Windows 7) and Mail.app and
iCal (on Mac): What features do you lose?
