Illinois State University has been using Pharos since around 2003 and we have been very happy with it. As some have said, it's not the cheapest game in town nowadays, but back then it was the best of the two options that existed. If I was to start again fresh today I'd seriously look at Papercut.

Hi All,
We are considering charging students for printing in out lab and are exploring several different methods. One would be using the students id card and a swipe card reader mounted to the printer. Another would be use third-party software and Active Directory to charge back to the students account.
Does anyone have a system in place that they can recommend.
