Geneva College uses Pharos. AD aware. Readers are not swipe but proximity. Students can also enter username and password. Students must have a positive account balance to use, but we provide funds to each student account at the beginning of each semester. No bill back to the student's account. They can add to their balance if necessary. With multi-function devices they can also copy in the computer labs.
Works well.

Hi All,
We are considering charging students for printing in out lab and are exploring several different methods. One would be using the students id card and a swipe card reader mounted to the printer. Another would be use third-party software and Active Directory to charge back to the students account.
Does anyone have a system in place that they can recommend.
