Thanks for the reassurance. From our Help Desk manager a bit more detail:
From our standpoint at the Help Desk, we encourage them to connect without
doing any manual configuration. If this fails, we usually wipe out the
802.1x settings and set them manually.
I've gotten in the mode of walking them through resetting their password
in order to make sure the correct one is being used. I wouldn't be
surprised if the OS is holding onto bad credentials.
I'd be interested in looking into scripting options - in an ideal world
one that clears all credentials first and resets 802.1x settings correctly
As he says, we would love to see scripts you may have developed.
