Most of our smart classrooms are configured with network, VGA and
audio cables for faculty to attach laptops. If the cables aren't
there, then attaching a laptop would involve removing the connection
from the computer, which isn't easily accessible, so we make it easy
by providing the cables for them. Here's a page that shows one of our
smart classrooms:

The laptops do not include a VGA cable when they are checked out. Most
of the time the loaners aren't used for classroom purposes, so
including the cable would be one more thing for them to lose.
