Oh, the strike definitely went through. We were in the middle of ordering =
some alarm lines for our new residence hall, and are sitting in the water n=
ow. We've been told that unless you are a hospital or facility for emergen=
cy care, you are waaaay down on the list...not sure what we'll do about it =
yet.
Good luck to the other NE schools! Hope you don't have as much trouble as w=
e are with this!

Not sure people know this, but apparently Verizon workers have voted to go =
on strike, August 7th.

I was speaking with a relative, and he said they are most certainly strikin=
g. (Union and Management are very apart from demands)
This will really only affect East Coast in the United States, but if you ha=
dn't heard the grumblings of strike, here's a heads up.
