I'm not sure I understand the question.
Windows 7 include desktop search, which automatically indexs Outlook 2010
(Writing emails on a Windows 7 machine with Outlook 2010 right now.)
Are you saying you want to use something OTHER than windows 7 intergrated
search? Like Google Desktop? http://desktop.google.com/
