I think I would like to implement a lanyard/badge for our student workers..=
.my question is, do they wear them? do they forget? Are there any penalties=
 for forgetting to put them on?

At Bucknell our student assistants have worn name tags for years, for a few=
 reasons:

  1. It helps to identify who should be in restricted areas, like behind t=
he desks;
  2. It helps when they go across campus and walk into offices, or ask que=
stions at other desks, and staff can immediately identify them and respond =
appropriately (esp when it is a student who is there to pick up a computer =
or help them set up their email!); and
  3. For both good reasons and bad, it is helpful for clients to know who =
is helping them out. It wasn't just a random tech desk student who helped t=
hem get their files off a corrupt USB key - it was Nadir, or Kelly, or Adam
