The Student Technology Conference is only a week away! In order to make
your arrival and stay hassle-free, here are a few things you may find
useful.
*Weather*
Mark Twain once said, =93If you don=92t like the weather in New England, ju=
st
wait a few minutes=94.
Mid- to late June in New Haven is warm and just a bit humid. Average
temperatures are high 70s to low 80s, with the occasional shower. Bringing
an umbrella is advised.
*Travel and Arrivals*

has been updated and now includes ground transportation information and a
suggested packing list.
You should plan to arrive at the intersection of Grove St. and Hillhouse
Ave. There are parking spaces on Grove for those who are driving and want
to unload before parking in the Pierson-Sage Garage.
Registration will be right inside the Silliman College gate.
*Lodging*
Those of you staying in Silliman are provided with a pillow and pillowcase,
one flat and one fitted sheet, a blanket, and three towels. Each floor has
a shared restroom, which will be used by no more than four people.
*Nearby retailers*

If you=92re packing light, Silliman and the hotels are a short walk from
Rite-Aid. The Broadway area features the Yale Bookstore, several clothing
stores, and restaurants. Silliman is also across the street from Blue Stat=
e
Coffee.
