Hi William.
I would suggest taking two computers that are identical and have one in
the domain and one outside of the domain (I am assuming you use Active
Directory). If the login times are very different with a domain machine
I'd look at what user and computer group policies are being applied and
whether or not the proper SRV are in DNS for the domain (are there
missing entries, are there ghost entries for old DCs that no longer
exist?). I assume you are not using roaming profiles correct? Having
your profile sync and follow you are around can be a killer.
