Karen,
At Scripps we have 5 check out iPad's for faculty and staff to play with. Many then go out and buy personal ones for themselves. The only questions we are asked are how to connect to wireless and how to configure their email on it.
Several key offices are purchasing iPad's and we're now trying to figure out how to support them, their apps, and their backups. Those offices consist of the President, Board of Trustee and Summer Conferences.
Our support team just came up with a list of apps we want to include on our "check out" iPad's.
Those are;

*Evernote
*Dropbox
*Readdledocs
As you can see we are a work in progress.
