Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has come across a particularly convenient solution for accessing console ports. I haven't seen any portables with RS232 ports on them for a while, and the netbook+usb dongle solution is driving me up the wall.....it's portable, but apparently too underpowered to run putty without CPU stalls.....

Right now, the best-sounding idea I've seen is an iPad + app ("Get Console") + cable (http://redpark.myshopify.com/products/console-cable) ... It specifically claims that it will only work with cisco equipment, but that sounds like a lie to me. Anyone out there using this? Anyone out there using this with non-cisco gear? Anyone have a better idea?
