Hello everyone!
Canisius College in Buffalo, NY will be hosting the Northeast ResNet Studen=
t Technology Conference on Friday, April 8th. Check-in will begin at 9:00a=
m, and presentations will start at 10:00am. The day will conclude around 4=
:00pm with a tour of the campus. Whether you are from the northeast or jus=
t passing through at that time, we would love to have you as our guest. Yo=
u can find more information and register at:
http://neresnet.org/2011-Spring/
Presentation topics are open at this point, so if you have something you wo=
uld like to present or discuss, please contact me.
In keeping with tradition, this gathering is free of charge. Participants =
will be responsible for their own lunch. There are several locations on ca=
mpus to eat, and you can continue on with conversations from the morning.
Buffalo is easily accessible by car, plane, and train. Talk to the local s=
chools around you and see if you can arrange a carpool. You'll not only sa=
ve on money, but it will give you the opportunity to talk with your neighbo=
rs on the drive and see what they are doing at their institutions. The Buf=
falo airport (BUF) has many flights daily, many with direct routes from pla=
ces like New York City (JFK) and Boston. Amtrak also has 2 stations here i=
f you prefer to travel by train. If you will be arriving Thursday night an=
d need accommodations, you can find that information under the "Lodging" se=
ction at the website above.
Buffalo is also very close to Niagara Falls, so you may wish to consider ta=
king a long weekend. (And if you choose to visit the Canadian side, please=
be sure you are aware of acceptable documents for border crossing).
If you have any questions, please contact me. Registration will be open un=
til the close of business on April 4th.
Hope to see you on April 8th!
Lisa
