Is this "absolutely true" or just a preferred deployment scheme?
I ask because I recall hearing the same things about Forefront (the curren=
t/old one) until some "standalone installers" surfaced. The only dependenc=
ies after that point are the periodic updates (hooked through windowsupdate=
/microsoftupdate).
