Colleagues

Apologies for the cross-post. Academic Computing Services at Stanford
has a job opening for a Technical Systems Specialist. The TSS works on a
team that develops software images for our managed staff, public-use,
and special-purpose machines. The TSS also helps with the back-end
infrastructure to build, deploy, maintain, and update those images.
Since the software images need to meet user requirements, there is a
customer interaction piece to the job. Finally, the job has a strong,
but not exclusive, Mac focus. Candidates without Mac proficiency,
including at the command-line level, will not be considered. The ideal
candidate will also have experience with Windows (required) and *nix
(highly desirable).

For details, including how to apply, go to
http://jobs.stanford.edu/find_a_job.html and search for keyword 41424.
If you have questions about the job, feel free to email me. Stanford
policy precludes discussion of salary; I can only say that salaries for
tech jobs at Stanford take into account the cost of living and the
competition from Silicon Valley.

Thanks
-s
