Good morning,
I am feeling the need to sanity check one of my appliances.
One of our NAC appliances is reporting a little over 1250 Student Apple devices on the network; it is reporting a little over 200 Microsoft OS devices attached. We have over 2000 students, so I feel that this report is in error.
I am looking for some application or addon that can monitor internet traffic and report on unique devices ... Mac, PC, Linux, iPad/iPhone blah, blah, blah.
I have a couple of Linux boxen running wireshark and SNORT attached to both the inside and outside of the firewall, so access won't be an issue.
Ideas?
