All,
We have been trying (unsuccessfully) over the past few months to install
the Laundry Alert systems (from Hercules Corp -
http://www.hercnet.com/?gclid=CLKd3JrTsKYCFcfe4AodOV2Qog ) in our dorms at
YU.
Have any of you installed the LaundryAlert on your network? We are looking
to install them on our core network, in a private address space, and give
them appropriate access to the internet.
The biggest stumbling block seems to be that the Lantronix NIC card,
attached to the LAundryAlert controller, has hard-coded the source port
for all outbound socket connections - and this seems to be causing issues
(same source and destination port - TCP 10001) and it keeps resetting the
connection at a frequency of its own choice.
Any help or information is much appreciated.
