I've spent quite a while recently trying to figure out why my resnet
connection wasn't working...
The answer was that one of the System Extentions included with the
Apple GeoPort Adapter has somesort of conflict with MacTCP. If anyone
with an AV Mac is having trouble switching the Network control panel
to ethertalk, of net software complains about not seeing MacTCP even
though you *know* you installed it, I suggest removing "Shared Library
Extention" from the extentions folder and try again.
Be warned that this renders Apple Phone and Express Modem (and hence
the GeoPort) unusable. I do not know why the conflict exists.
