Hello! I'm Dom Sartorio, and I just got my 486 hooked up to
Resnet. Got a problem.
It seems that many of the network applications that I try to
run are crashing with a protection error. The applications that
I know of so far that cause this are sending mail, initializing
kerberos tickets through leash, and downloading large files
through Mosaic.
Specifically, an error box opens and says:
X caused a General Protection Fault in
module WLIBSOCK.DLL at 0009:05b0
where "X" is any of TECHMAIL, LEASH, MOSAIC. The address it fails
at also differs slightly between applications. (0009:05b0 is for
techmail, 0009:05ad is for leash, I don't recall the address for
mosaic)
What's wrong? Did I set this up wrong?
