The University as a whole used to have a license for Sophos Antivirus; the
license covered the UNiversity of Dayton as well as UD's research
Institute, UDRI. My first experience using it was in 1998. It was decent,
and I have heard a number of good things about it, though I do remember
having issues with getting automatic updates working (though that was years
ago).

By summer 2000, the University switched to a site license with Norton
Antivirus Corporate Edition, and UDRI has just finished the migration from
Sophos to NAV CE. We now have a number of NAV servers that check with
Symantec/Norton for updated virus definitions and engine updates, and then
deplopys these updates to our managed client PCs.

Does anyone have any experience with Sophos Anti-virus software, good, bad
or otherwise?
