I have a compiled script that I came across on the AutoIt List and I use a
modified version of it quite often in my own scripts.

The language it was written in is a very nice, very powerful language
called AutoIt, which is freeware. You can run the scripts with an
interpreter or compile them into stand-alone Win32 executables. You can
go to http://www.hiddensoft.com/AutoIt/index.html to download the compiler.

I have a compiled script I can send in e-mail (it's only 41k) for anyone
who wants it. I only use it on
Win2k/XP, but it looks like the source code takes into account Win9x boxes
as well.

Let me know if it works for you.

        Subject: Automatic hardware address detection

Does anyone have a CD (or piece of code) that automatically detects and
displays the correct hardware address, regardless of OS? We want to
take the guesswork out of getting the correct hardware address for our
students.

If you have a CD, I'd happily accept it if you mailed it to the address
below.

Thank you.
