In response to mary simoni -
Northwestern Univ is funding residence hall networking thru an increase in
residence hall fees. We have 4,000 resident students. We will have a
"port-per-pillow" in all res halls by next September, and we are
encouraging students to take advantage of this. We are currently planning
to increase res hall fees by $45/quarter (NU is on the quarter system).
For most students this will be an annual increase of $135. This is not an
optional increase. The increased fees will be applied to all rooms, and
ports will be live.
