Hello, ResNetters!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday and New Year. As we look forward to a
new year it=E2=80=99s time to start thinking about the 2019 Student Technol=
ogy
Conference. Hosting a Student Technology Conference provides you and your
colleagues an opportunity to highlight your institution. While hosting can
be a challenge, it can also be a fun and rewarding experience, allowing you
and your colleagues to develop many skills. 2019 might seem like a long
time from now, but having this much time to plan and prepare will allow you
to hold a very successful conference.
The bid process has 3 phases:
Phase 1 (due Friday, Feb. 12)
Submit a letter of intent to the Conference Selection Committee. The letter
should contain your reasons for wanting to host, as well as an indication
of support from your immediate supervisor.
Phase 2 (due Friday, April 29)
Create a website highlighting your campus venues in relation to hosting the
conference.
Phase 3 (Spring/Summer)
If your institution is selected as a finalist, one or two members of the
Conference Selection Committee will come for a site visit in early
Spring/Summer.
