Actually, CrashPlan just saved the day today for a user! woohoo! (big sigh
of relief! - It was tough making those calls when they had no backups and
we couldn't retrieve their data with file recovery methods).
It is definitely worth the cost, especially each time CrashPlan saves the
day. We are very happy with CrashPlan both on macOS and Windows. We have
been using CrashPlan for about a year now for faculty and staff.
When doing an automatic push deployment, make sure you let people know how
to exclude home networks when they use a metered Mifi/Hotspot as their main
internet connection.
