Hi,
We use it at UAH. I'm hoping we can boost adoption very soon because it is
so awesome.

We mainly chose CrashPlan because they don't care how much data our users
backup. Having the Internet2 "discount" (or whatever seemed to help as
well).

We are not all on AD, yet.

Our system administrator builds a customer client installer that we
distribute; it has the key, branding, "I agree," etc. pieces packaged
within it. He recently documented what our challenges have been to date:

Client deployment improvements would help us quite a bit I suspect.

The ability to customize the client could be better. Mainly branding but
also license key and connection information. In some sort of package that
can be pushed out from Active Directory without user intervention.

For central IT going forward this would be helpful.

Some of our distributed IT lock down their customer pc's such that they
cannot install any software themselves and must have an admin do it.

Also, the "download client" popup displayed when they use the web interface
is of course offering to download the standard, non-customized client.
Seems like at least in that scenario it would be great if at least the
host+license key was bundled. Maybe a default org key set on the server
included on the fly in the client download. Ideally branding too, but what
we sometimes see is they download directly from the web interface then are
prompted with not only username but also host, port, key, etc., so we then
have to tell them "download our custom client from xyz instead". I suspect
at least some give up before contacting us since they don't know what
settings to enter during client install.
