And is this on your standard 802.1x secure SSID? Do you have all aTV's configured on that same SSID?
On our secure network we have students land on a different vlan and VRF than employees, and guests on a third set. Where do you put the aTV and how do you get it to communicate with all of these other areas of the network? Static IP's and firewall rules?

We are using the Cisco WLC (WiSM) feature for repeating mDNS, within the same ESSID, within a radius of one AP from where it was originated. We also require Apple TVs to have the on-screen password generator enabled. This seems to be the option that is the least terrible.
