We use some rather hokey name badges printed with Avery templates onto
cardstock using C-Line name badge holders. They are magnetized. I am
reluctant to buy college-style name badges because our student population
is not always stable. I put their photo on the badge as well as their name,
title and IT. Besides helping the campus know who they are, it honestly
helps the staff here keep names and faces straight because the badges sit
at the check-in desk between shifts. We only have about 20 students but it
really helps me learn who is who quickly. After they graduate, I often
hang the ID photo on our cork board as "gone but not forgotten"!
