Good Afternoon:
We at Indiana State University are in the process of replacing our terr=
estrial delivered campus cable provider and are considering the use of Phil=
o to distribute satellite supplied programming.
Here is the initial list of questions we developed.
1. Do you still use Philo as a television content delivery system? I=
f so, how long have you had it?
2. Who is your content provider?
3. Do you have one central head-end to which content is delivered? I=
f no, how many head ends do you have, and why?
4. If yes, is content delivered from that head-end to geographically =
dispersed locations, i.e. locations not contiguous with your central campus=
?
5. Are you satisfied with the service?
6. Do you deliver service using Philo to your residence hall:
a) Rooms/apartments
b) Offices
c) Common areas
If you deliver services to common areas, how is service delivered to these =
areas?
7. Do you deliver service using Philo to other areas on campus?
a. Academic classrooms
b. Administrative offices
c. Recreation center (including things like treadmills)
8. How do you establish your billing level? That is, in the past, ca=
ble television services were billed on a "tap count" basis. What basis doe=
s your provider use for billing in your current model?
