password caching tool - secure testing of user's credentials

Thought I'd ask this group...=20
Does anyone know of a password caching tool that allows a user to enter the=
ir credentials to be used for only a particular amount of time and for a pa=
rticular product or application, without allowing the password to be pasted=
into a clear text form or application?=20
I know it's a stretch, but I've heard of great applications out there.=20
The use case is that I have an application that a user is not able to succe=
ssfully log into and it's difficult to co-ordinate schedules with the user =
and the vendor and myself.=20
Since the vendor is having me uninstall and install the software, the appli=
cation caching is not an option.=20
I was also thinking about some sort of Windows macro/recording application =
which would store process in an encrypted file rather than plain text.=20
Any help or ideas would be great.=20
