I was wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in a panel
discussion about trying to manage upwards and sideways? I know many of use
work in positions with no real authority or budgets, but have to figure out
how to get things done - and/or get frustrated because we can't influence
the process or make changes to the system. Sometimes, it might just be
day-to-day, trying to resolve tickets that are reliant on others.

1) Do you think this would be a good idea for a panel discussion?
2) Would anyone be interested in doing it with me?

I thought it might be interested in hearing how others navigate situations,
sell ideas, convince people/depts make changes. The changes could be to IT
procedures, products, resources, etc - and/or could include getting rest of
community to adopt things, change IT related behaviors. Also might be
helpful to include someone at a director or higher level, to talk about how
someone was able to convince them to make a change.

I know it's close to the deadline, but what do you think?
