Yes, we here at Edinboro University have separate SSIDs for ResNet and our academic network. Also, we have recently (last summer) expanded our wireless Residence Hall networks to now encompass all areas of the Residence Halls.

Subject: Wireless SSID Name
Here at Cal Poly we house around 7000 students. ResNet is a separate network than the rest of campus. We are currently implementing a wireless network through out our Housing facilities we currently only have it in the common areas and the SSID is ResNet wireless so we have always been able to tell the difference between ResNet wireless and the rest of campus wireless ssid. For those of you that have wireless in housing is the ssid name different for the Residence Hall than the main campus.
