We have a few different wireless networks, but they are the same in the residences and on the rest of campus. The main ones are YaleSecure and YaleGuest - we have others that are grandfathered but we're trying to get away from them.

We here at Minnesota State University - Mankato have a ResLife-unsecure and ResLife-secure wireless network along with a wired network for the Residence Communities.
The Campus has an MavNet-Encrypted and MavNet wireless network with a MavNet Ethernet as well.
The Residence Communities use the same login/password for MavNet that is handled through the campus Active Directory.
Any way you connect the user will see the appropriate named network for the area of campus they are located.
Thanks
Jason

Subject: Wireless SSID Name
Here at Cal Poly we house around 7000 students. ResNet is a separate network than the rest of campus. We are currently implementing a wireless network through out our Housing facilities we currently only have it in the common areas and the SSID is ResNet wireless so we have always been able to tell the difference between ResNet wireless and the rest of campus wireless ssid. For those of you that have wireless in housing is the ssid name different for the Residence Hall than the main campus.
