In attempting to evaluate the reletive merits of the Asante 2072 vs.
another vendor's hub, it came out the that 2072 does not include RMON
capabilities, but the other hub does.  We then realized that we did not
understand what "network managable" meant as well as we thought we did,
which left us at a loss of how to do a fair comparison.

Exactly what does RMON let you do that SNMP doesn't?  What sorts of remote
measurements/diagnostics will we be able to do with the RMON-less 2072? 
What would we additionally be able to do with RMON that we couldn't without
it?
