We may want to consider that many schools (like JHU) which operate on
a July--June fiscal year might be out of travel money by late in the
Spring (March), and thus the early summer date, especially right
after the start of a new fiscal year on July 1, might enable greater
attendance. This date would also be only halfway thru the year for
schools which operate on a calendar fiscal year, and thus might be a
good compromise for them as well.
Anyone else have opinions along these lines? I for one would very
much like to have enough money left to attend this very pertinent and
timely event!
