Class action lawsuit targets Google for standard browser "http referer" behavior

[ Google Sued for Violating the Privacy Rights of Millions of Americans ]

This is a "deep pockets" attack on Google that is actually attempting
to collect "damages" related to (and ban?) the standard "http referer"
construct generated by browsers, which of course has important
analytical and security implications (referer checking is commonly
used to help fight "cross-site request forgery" scams).
